אי הכי אפילו רישא נמי

Rab Judah said in the name of Samuel: If a woman is about to be executed one strikes her against her womb so that the child may die first, to avoid her being disgraced.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' If the child, having escaped death, came forth after her execution, it would cause bleeding and thus expose the executed mother to be disgraced.');">¹⁶</span>
