א"ל מי קא אמינא דלא פרעי כלל דלא שכיחי אינשי דפרעי ביומיה קא אמינא

This [decision] was conveyed to R. Abbahu, [whereupon] he said: R. Abin's decision seems right [in a case where] the oath was imposed upon [the defendant] by a Court of Law,<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' If he refused to take the oath imposed on him by the Court, although he was called upon by the plaintiff to do so in the presence of witnesses, he cannot be believed if he asserts that he took the oath later in the absence of witnesses.
