אלא פשיטא ר' יהודה

and if it is Akabya's opinion, then the passage ought to be reversed as follows: If it appeared on a level with [the rest of] the wool, then it is forbidden, for death renders it prohibited, whereas if it did not appear on a level with [the rest of] the wool, then it is allowed,<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' For the wool of the dead firstling which is allowed is that which has fallen off before it died but not that which is plucked after its death.');">¹⁸</span>
