מאי טעמא נעקרו הוי מומא משום דכי פעי מיחזי:
Said Rab Judah: It is permitted to cause a blemish to a firstling before it is born.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Lit., 'came-forth into the lighted space of the world'. The reason is because a first-born is only hallowed after leaving the womb.');"><sup>23</sup></span>
