(שמות לח, כו) בקע לגלגלת מחצית השקל בשקל הקדש וגו' ובנתינת הכסף אתה מוצא מאת ככר דכתיב
- He replied to him: 'Moses our teacher was a trustworthy treasurer and a good arithmetician, only the sacred maneh was double the common'.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' There were therefore one hundred and twenty maneh in a kikkar. The hundred kikkar were therefore really two hundred and the remaining kikkar and eleven maneh, were the one thousand seven hundred and seventy-five shekel mentioned, from which hooks were made.');"><sup>18</sup></span>
