אמר רבי ירמיה הרי אמרו הבא ראשו ורובו במים שאובין וטהור שנפלו על ראשו ועל רובו שלשה לוגין מים שאובין טמא בעי ר' ירמיה חציו בביאה וחציו בנפילה מאי תיקו
R. Judah said that if the feet of the first were still touching the water [when the second entered]. the second is also clean.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' [On the principle, [H} (lit., 'stretch and bring down') whereby a partition is supposed to be prolonged so as to reach down to the ground. Similarly here the first man is treated as forming part of the partition of the mikweh reaching down to the mikweh proper.
