(במדבר ט, יג) חטאו ישא אתא לרבנן והכי קאמר ר"ע לרבנן

And thus did the Rabbis say to R'Akiba: You maintain that the blasphemer [megaddef] is liable to an offering because kareth in this instance is mentioned in conjunction with offerings.
