ושמואל אמר לא ידענא מאי אידון בה שמא לא גמר להקנותו אלא בשטר ואין שטר לאחר מיתה

But Shmuel said: I do not know how to decide on the matter, since it is possible that he decided not to transfer possession to him except through the deed, and there can be no deed after death.
