Commentary for Ketubot 209:8

קרנא הוה שקיל איסתירא מזכאי ואיסתירא מחייב ודאין להו דינא והיכי עביד הכי והכתי' (שמות כג, ח) ושוחד לא תקח

Karna used to take one istira from the innocent party and one istira from the guilty party and then informed them of his decision. But how could he do this? Is it not written, “And a bribe you shall not take”?
