3) Rabbi Akiba says: the surplus of the appropriation was used for the altar’s “dessert,” and the surplus of the libations was used for the ministering vessels. 4) Rabbi Hananiah the chief of the priests says: the surplus of the libations was used for the altar’s “dessert” and the surplus of the appropriation was used for the ministering vessels. 5) Neither of these [two sages] allowed [a profit from the sale of] the produce.
