ואסקיניה ואתו בי תרי ואמרי בן גרושה ובן חלוצה הוא ואחתיניה ואתא עד אחד ואמר ידענא ביה דכהן הוא ודכולי עלמא מצטרפין לעדות

and they raised him [again] and [then] came two [other witnesses] and said [that] he is the son of a divorced woman or the son of a halutzah and they demoted him [again] and [then] one witness came and said, “I know that he is a priest. All agree that the [two witnesses] are joined into one testimony, but they differ as to whether we are afraid of disgracing the court.
