דאמר קרא (ויקרא יא, כט) וזה לכם הטמא

You must therefore conclude [that a distinction has to be made in the following manner]: In the one instance the blood came from a whole body, in the other from a portion thereof.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' When the blood comes from a whole body it need not be connected; when from a part thereof it must be connected.');">¹⁸</span>
