ואי סלקא דעתך כלי שרת מקדשין שלא בזמנן (ליפסל) ליקדוש וליפסול

This was the rule in the Temple: whosoever covered his feet<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' A euphemism for 'relieving oneself'.');"><sup>21</sup></span> required an immersion, and whosoever made water required sanctification of hands and feet.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' By washing them in the laver that was in the Temple; for further notes, v.
