הקטיר שומשום לאכול שומשום עד שכלה קומץ כולו רב חסדא ורב המנונא ורב ששת חד אמר פיגול וחד אמר פסול וחד אמר כשר
It is the slaughtering of the lambs that hallows them; and whatsoever serves to hallow is on the same footing as whatsoever serves to render permissible.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' So that the slaughtering is on a par with an absolute mattir, and therefore the Sages hold that it is piggul only when the whole of this mattir');"><sup>18</sup></span>
