לעולם רבנן ומאי מצוה משום (שמות טו, ב) זה אלי ואנוהו:

R'Hanan B'Abba said, This<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' That the absence of any one kind invalidates the others.');">³²</span> was taught only in the case where he did not have them at all, but where he had them all one does not invalidate the other.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' I.e., for the purposes of the precept they need not be taken bound together in one hand.');">³³</span>
