ורבנן סברי נכסיה לא מפקר איניש דמירתת דלמא זכי בהו איניש אחרינא הלכך נחשדו

and wherever the doubt does not render it <i>tebel</i>, he [the owner] enjoys no goodwill therein,<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' But must give it to the first poor man who applies. The interdependence of goodwill and tebel is deduced from Scripture. ');">⁷</span> and therefore she may benefit therefrom.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Lit., 'one'. For she does not benefit from the owner, but takes it in virtue of her own right. ');">⁸</span>
