משתבח ליה רבא לרב נחמן ברב סחורה דאדם גדול הוא אמר לו כשיבא לידך הביאהו לידי הוה ליה נדרא למישרא אתא לקמיה דרב נחמן
Whence is this known? For much wisdom proceedeth from much anger.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Ecc. I, 18; i.e., the anger of God caused Him to send many prophets with their wise teachings. — We learn through error, and sin becomes the occasion of a fuller Revelation by God.
