בעי רבי יוחנן בור תשעה ועקר ממנו חוליא והשלימה לעשרה מהו עקירת חפץ ועשיית מחיצה בהדי הדדי קאתו ומיחייב או לא מיחייב ואם תימצי לומר כיון דלא הוי מחיצה עשרה מעיקרא לא מיחייב בור י' ונתן לתוכה חוליא ומיעטה מהו הנחת חפץ וסילוק מחיצה בהדי הדדי קאתו מיחייב או לא מיחייב

But perhaps our Mishnah treats of a needle? he suggested to them! — It is impossible even for a needle not to be slightly raised. — It [the rock] may have a projecting point,<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Part of the top may slope downward and thence project upward, and there the needle lies.
