אמר רב ששת אפי' תימא רשב"ג הכא במאי עסקינן במחוברת באביה אי הכי קא משתמש במחובר לקרקע למטה מג' רב אשי אמר אפי' תימא בתלושה גזירה שמא יקטום:

Now he who says [that it was] a sounding pole, all the more so a pile [of beams];<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' They certainly could have sat upon the latter. ');">²²</span> but he who says that [it was] a pile, but one is particular about a sounding pole.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Not to use it for anything else, lest it be bent or warped. Therefore it is mukzeh and must not be handled. ');">²³</span>
