והא קא מבטל כלי מהיכנו סבר מבטל כלי מהיכנו דרבנן צער בעלי חיים דאורייתא ואתי דאורייתא ודחי דרבנן:

but if not, one brings pillows and bedding and places them under it. But he robs a utensil of its readiness [for use]?<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Because once he places the bedding under the animal, he may no longer remove it on Sabbath, v. supra 43a. ');">⁷</span>
