דאי בעיא אמרה שלום בעולם או דלמא כיון דאיחזקה אמרה בדדמי ולא אתי מה לי לשקר ומרע חזקתיה
since, if she wished, she could have said that there was peace in the world;<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' And as no one could have contradicted her, she would have been believed in saying that her husband was dead and she would have obtained her object; hence she is believed even when she reported that there was a war.
