AND BY <i>HALIZAH</i>,<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' A ma'amar, according to Beth Hillel, does not constitute a proper marriage, and she is now the sister of a zekukah. V. following note. ');"><sup>20</sup></span> AND HIS BROTHER'S WIFE BY <i>HALIZAH</i>.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' v. previous note. As the ma'amar did not constitute a proper marriage with her sister she is the sister of a zekukah who may not contract levirate marriage but must perform halizah.
