<big><strong>גמ׳</strong></big> מנא ה"מ א"ר יהושע אמר קרא (ויקרא ה, יא) לא ישים עליה שמן ולא יתן עליה לבונה כי חטאת היא חטאת קרויה מנחה ומנחה קרויה חטאת
<big><b>GEMARA: </b></big>Whence do we know it? - Said R'Joshua, Scripture saith: He shall put no oil upon it, neither shall he put any frankincense thereon, for it is a sin-offering:<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' I.e., they returned the same way as they came. (10) Lev. V, 11. This refers to a sinner's meal-offering brought in extreme poverty instead of a bird sin-offering.');"><sup>3</sup></span> a sin-offering is designated a meal-offering.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Since the latter can be a substitute for it.');"><sup>4</sup></span>
