אגב אביהן חשיבי

one must take it in less than three [fingerbreadths] square at a time, and wash it, because it is said, That it [the robe] be not rent.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Ex. XXVIII, 32. Hence it cannot be torn, as the Mishnah states. Therefore less than three finger-breadths square of it must be insinuated into the Temple court at a time, as then it does not count as an unclean garment.');">⁵</span>
