אתא לקמיה דרבא א"ל מנבלה נמי לא אתיא דאיכא למיפרך מה לנבלה שכן מטמא

[We learn it] a minori: if [Scripture] interdicted where it did not punish [with kareth];<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Sc. where the sacrifice was consecrated when bamoth were permitted. As just stated, we have a negative injunction covering that case, but kareth is not involved.');">⁷</span> is it not logical that it interdicted where i punished [with kareth]?<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Sc. where the sacrifice was consecrated when bamoth were already forbidden.');">⁸</span>
