ואי ס"ד כשרין ומרצין בכור בר ריצויי הוא אלא כשרין ואין מרצין ומדסיפא כשרין ואין מרצין רישא נמי כשרין ואין מרצין
[this teaches that] they are not profaned [rendered unfit] through what is superior [higher] than themselves, but they are profaned through what is inferior to themselves.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Rendering: they shall not profane the holy things (sc. the sacrifices) when they exalt them, i.e, when they offer them as a sacrifice whose sanctity is higher than their own.');"><sup>4</sup></span>
