(איכה א, טו) סלה כל אבירי ה' בקרבי כאדם שאומר לחברו נפסלה מטבע זו

as one says to his neighbour, This coin has lost its currency.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Lit., 'disqualified', 'rejected'; and so may be trodden under foot. Johanan's name: Why did he place the pe before the 'ayin?<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' As remarked before, Lamentations is written in the form of an alphabetical acrostic.
