— If according to him who said, 'With an absorbent',<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' That a woman during pregnancy may use an absorbent to prevent a second conception. V. supra 12b. ');"><sup>44</sup></span> she uses<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Lit., 'with'. ');"><sup>45</sup></span> an absorbent; and if according to him who said, 'Mercy will be shewn from heaven',<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' No artificial means of contraception may be used. The woman must have implicit confidence in divine protection. ');"><sup>46</sup></span> mercy will be shewn from heaven.
