ורבא אמר רב נחמן אפי' בעל חוב שלא יהא כל אחד ואחד נוטל מעותיו של חברו והולך ויושב במדינת הים ואתה נועל דלת בפני לווין:

But Rava stated in the name of R. Nahman: Even a creditor [must take an oath when collecting in the debtor’s absence] in order that every person should not take his friend’s money and abscond and settle in a country beyond the sea and thus [cause the creditor’s] door to be shut in the face of borrowers.
