אמר אביי ראובן שמכר שדה לשמעון באחריות ואתא בעל חוב דראובן וקטריף לה מיניה דינא הוא דאזיל ראובן ומפצי ליה ולא מצי אמר ליה לאו בעל דברים דידי את משום דאמר ליה דמפקת מיניה עלי הדר

Abaye said: If Reuven sold a field to Shimon with a guarantee and a creditor of Reuven’s came to seize it, the laws is that Reuven may proceed to compensate the creditor and [the latter] cannot say to him, “You are no party to me” for [the other can] say to him, “For whatever you will take away from him he will turn to me [to claim compensation].”
