What is the meaning of 'and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey [mishtollel<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' [H]. ');"><sup>19</sup></span> ]'? — The School of R. Shila said: He who departs from evil will be dubbed a fool by his fellow-men.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Cf. Job XII, 17: He leadeth counsellors away spoiled ([H]) and maketh the judges fools. Sholal being parallel to 'fools', it bears the same connotation. ');"><sup>20</sup></span>
