Reference for Bava Batra 92:8
(עמלק סימן)
Our Rabbis taught: A surety may testify on behalf of the borrower,<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' In regard to land claimed from him by a third party. ');">14</span> provided that the borrower has other land [besides that which is being claimed from him.]<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Because in that case, even if the land is assigned to the claimant, the borrower will still have land on which the creditor can distrain if he fails to pay his debt, and the surety will not feel himself jeopardised; hence he is not an interested party. ');">15</span>
