הכי השתא התם ודאי איכא עדים דאיכא מיא הכא ודאי איטמי חששא הוא ובמקום חששא אמרינן:

Now is this so? There there were witnesses that there certainly was water on the way of Nehar Pekod, but here has she certainly been defiled? It is [only] a concern, and in the case of a mere concern we do say [“why should he lie?”].
