אימור דשמעת ליה לרבי מאיר לדבר שישנו בעולם לדבר שאינו בעולם מי שמעת ליה

[but] has he been heard [to hold the same view when possession is conveyed] to that which is not [yet] in the world!<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' The embryo, therefore, could not acquire possession even according to R. Q. One of the witnesses to a document subsequently became related to the beneficiary named in the document.
A. The document has no value unless witnesses testify that they saw the document, and recognized the signatures of the witnesses, in the hands of its present possessor before the witness in question became a relative of the beneficiary.
