ההוא גברא דזבין ליה ארעא לחבריה באחריות א"ל אי טרפו ליה מנאי מגבית לי מעידי עידית דאית לך אמר ליה מעידי עידית לא מגבינא לך דבעינן למיקם קמאי אלא מגבינא לך מעידית אחרים דאית לי לסוף טרפוה מיניה אתא בדקא שקיל לעידי עידית
R. Papa also said: Although the Rabbis ruled that an <i>asmakta</i> gives no legal title, yet it creates a mortgage from which payment may be exacted.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' I.e., though the creditor cannot seize the whole field, which is probably worth more than the debt, he can claim payment from that particular field, and refuse to be fobbed off with another.
