אי אמרת בשלמא משום כבוד אביו שפיר אלא אי אמרת משום הזמנה טווי לאריגה מי איכא למאן דאמר

But on Abaye's view, viz., that[mere] designation is a material act; if one had assigned the cloth [forthe purpose of wrapping up his <i>Tefillin</i>], even though he did not do so, orif he wrapped them in it, and also assigned it [for that purpose], it isso [i.e., the prohibition holds good]; but if he had not assigned it, itis not [forbidden].
