11 According to the opinion of R'Simeon, there is no need to inquire, for, since he says that it is permitted to use the first-birth of an ass, it is the owner's money.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' And the person who redeemed it cannot sell it and is not reimbursed.');"><sup>19</sup></span> The question does arise, however, according to the opinion of R'Judah who says that it is forbidden to use it. Does he compare it with a consecrated object concerning which the Divine Law says: And he shall give money and it shall be assured to him?<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Lev. XXVII, 19. The verse is given here in an abbreviated form, the full verse being Then he shall add a fifth part of the money and it shall be i,bu assured to him. V. Tosaf. on Shab. 128a, .');"><sup>20</sup></span> Or, perhaps since the owner possesses the difference [between the value of the ass and a sheep], it is not compared with a consecrated object?<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' And since a portion of it is the owner's money, if he redeems it, we account the whole of it as belonging to him.');"><sup>21</sup></span>
