Whence do we know that with regard to consecrated animals? - R'Aha B'Jacob said: Scripture said, A lamb ben shenato [of the first year],<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Lev. XII, 6. The text might have read: ben shanah, which would have suggested an ordinary year. 'Ben shenato', (lit., 'an animal its year old') suggests that it shall be its own year, from hour to hour.');">¹⁶</span>
