מתקיף לה רב נחמן בר יצחק אלא מעתה גבי אלקנה דכתיב וילך אלקנה אחרי אשתו וגבי אלישע דכתיב (מלכים ב ד, ל) ויקם וילך אחריה הכי נמי אחריה ממש אלא אחרי דבריה ואחרי עצתה הכא נמי אחרי דבריה ואחרי עצתה

Rab Nahman b. Isaac retorted : But that is likewise true of Elisha ; for it is written, "And he arose and followed her" (II Kings iv. 30) — here also he actually walked behind her ! Nay ; [it means that Elisha] followed her words and advice, and so also [in the instance of Manoah] he followed her words and advice.
