ומנא לן דרגע רתח שנא' (תהלים ל, ו) כי רגע באפו חיים ברצונו ואב"א מהכא (ישעיהו כו, כ) חבי כמעט רגע עד יעבור זעם
Whence do we know that He is angry but for a moment? As it is said, "For His anger is but for a moment, His favour is for a life-time" (Ps. 30:6). Or if thou wilt, I can say it may be deduced from the following : "Hide thyself for a moment until the indignation be overpast" (Is. xxvi. 20).
