ורבא אמר לך התם בקביעותא תליא מילתא דכתיב (ויקרא יג, מו) בדד ישב מחוץ למחנה מושבו הכא (דברים כג, טו) והיה מחניך קדוש אמר רחמנא והא ליכא:
And Raba? He can tell thee : In this latter circumstance the criterion is a fixed place ; for it is written, "He shall dwell alone ; without the camp shall his dwelling be" (Lev. xiii. 46). But here the All-merciful declared, "Therefore shall the camp be holy" (Deut. xxiii. 15), and behold that is not so.
