ורבנן ההוא הכי קאמר להו קודשא בריך הוא לישראל כד מפיקנא לכו עבידנא לכו מלתא כי היכי דידעיתו דאנא הוא דאפיקית יתכון ממצרים דכתיב (שמות ו, ז) וידעתם כי אני ה' אלהיכם המוציא

The Rabbis explain this verse as follows : Thus spake the Holy One, blessed be He, to Israel, "When I bring you forth, I will do that for you whereby you may know that I am He that brought you forth from Egypt; for it is written 'And ye shall know that I am the Lord your God Who brought you out [hammosi']'" (ibid.).
