ור' ישמעאל האי מיבעי ליה לרביעית דם הבאה מן המת שמטמאה שנאמר
From the verse: He shall not go in to any dead bodies,<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Lev. XXI, II. The plural 'bodies', indicates at least two, whereas 'dead', being in the singular, indicates a single quantity of blood equal to the quantity necessary for maintaining life, i.e., a quarter log.');"><sup>20</sup></span>
