מאן דאמר הלכה שפיר מאן דאמר אין הלכה הכא נמי אומדן דעתא הוא משום איקרובי דעתא הוא והא איקרבא ליה דעתא
and he who stated that the halakhah [was in accordance with R. Elazar b. Azaryah]—this goes well, but he who stated that the halakhah was not [in accordance with R. Elazar b. Azaryah], this is also based on an assumption, that the man’s intention [it is assumed] was to draw her [and her family] near. And she was indeed drawn near.
