תניא נחום איש גליא אומר צינור שעלו בו קשקשין ממעכן ברגלו בצנעא בשבת ואינו חושש מאי טעמא מתקן כלאחר יד הוא ובמקום פסידא לא גזרו בה רבנן אמר רב יוסף הלכה כנחום איש גליא:

It was taught: Nahum the Galatian stated: A gutter that became full of debris, it is permissible to crush it with one’s foot surreptitiously on Shabbat, and one need have no scruples about the matter. What is the reason? This is repairing in an unusual manner and when loss is involved, the rabbis did not decree. Joseph said: The halachah is in agreement with Nahum the Galatian.
