החתן מקבל עליו עשרה דינר לקופה: מאי קופה אמר רב אשי קופה של בשמים ואמר רב אשי לא נאמרו דברים הללו אלא בירושלים

The bridegroom must undertake [to give his wife] ten denarii for her basket. What is meant by basket? Ashi says: The perfume basket. Ashi further stated: This ruling applies to Jerusalem only.
