(יהושע ט, יח) ולא הכום בני ישראל כי נשבעו להם נשיאי העדה וכמה רבים רב נחמן בר יצחק אמר שלשה ימים שנים רבים שלשה ר' יצחק אמר עשרה עדה כתיב בהו

“And the children of Israel did not strike them down, because the princes of the congregation had sworn unto them” (Joshua 9:18). And what is considered “many”? R. Nahman b. Yitzchak said: Three; [for the words] “days” implies two [days] and “many” three. R. Yitzchak said: Ten; [for the term] congregation was applied to them.)
