רב אסי אמר כגון דאמרי עדים עכשיו מת עכשיו גירשה מיתה ליכא לברורה גירושין איכא לברורה דאמרינן לה אם איתא דהכי הוה אחזי לן גיטיך

Assi says: This is a case where the witnesses say, He has died now,” [or] “He has divorced her now.” Death one cannot prove, divorce one can prove, for we say to her, If it is so, show us your get.”
