וצריכא דאי אשמעינן אביו משום דשכיח גביה אבל רבו לא ואי אשמעינן רבו משום דאית ליה אימתיה דרביה אבל אביו לא
And it is necessary [to teach all three cases]: For if he had taught us [with regard to] his father, [I might say] that is because he was always with him, but [with regard to] his teacher [he would] not [be believed]. And if he had taught us [with regard to] his teacher, [I might say] that is because he had reverence for his teacher, but not his father.
