מני מתניתין אי רבי מאיר הא אמר בנים מצוה אי רבי יהודה הא אמר בנים נמי מצוה אי רבי יוחנן בן ברוקא אפי' מצוה נמי ליכא

Now who [is the author of] our Mishnah? If R. Meir, he said that it is only a moral duty [to feed sons]. If R. Judah also said that it is only a moral duty [to feed sons]. And if R. Yohanan b. Beroka, there is not even a moral duty [to feed sons].
